Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using RealMeet, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use RealMeet. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who misrepresent their age.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. RealMeet is not liable for losses caused by unauthorized account access unless we were negligent.

4. Verification

All users must complete mandatory live photo verification to use matching and messaging features. By completing verification, you consent to the processing of liveness data as described in our Privacy Policy. The optional enhanced identity verification is not required to use RealMeet.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to use RealMeet to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Solicit money, gifts, or cryptocurrency from other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Distribute spam, malware, or phishing content
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable law
• Access the service if you are under 18 years old

6. Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting content, you grant RealMeet a limited, non-exclusive license to display your content to other users for the purpose of operating the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

RealMeet offers a free tier and optional premium subscriptions. Subscription prices, renewal terms, and cancellation rights will be clearly disclosed before purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time via your device's app store settings. Refund eligibility is subject to applicable consumer law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or our Community Guidelines. You have the right to appeal any moderation decision by contacting appeals@real-meet.de.

9. Disclaimers

RealMeet is designed to reduce the risk of fake profiles through verification, but cannot guarantee the authenticity or intentions of every user. The service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that you will find a match or relationship. Dating carries inherent risks; please follow our safety guidelines.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, RealMeet's liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. EU consumer protection laws apply to users in the EU. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable EU or national law.

12. Changes

We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days in advance via in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
