Community Guidelines
RealMeet exists so that real people can build real connections. These guidelines exist to make that possible for everyone.
1. Be authentic
RealMeet is built on the principle that real connections start with real people. All members must:
- Use a genuine, recent photo of themselves as their profile photo
- Represent themselves honestly in their bio and profile information
- Complete the mandatory live selfie verification accurately and in good faith
- Not create multiple accounts or impersonate other people
2. Treat everyone with respect
Everyone on RealMeet deserves to feel safe and respected. You must not:
- Send abusive, threatening, or degrading messages
- Harass, stalk, or persistently contact someone who has asked you to stop
- Use slurs, hate speech, or content that discriminates against people based on protected characteristics
- Body-shame or demean other users
3. Keep it appropriate
RealMeet is not an adult content platform. You must not post or send:
- Explicit, sexually graphic, or pornographic content
- Nude or partially nude photos unless genuinely tasteful and contextually appropriate
- Graphic violence, gore, or disturbing content
- Content that sexualises or endangers anyone under 18
4. No fraud, scams, or manipulation
RealMeet has zero tolerance for financial exploitation. You must not:
- Ask other users for money, loans, gift cards, or cryptocurrency transfers
- Create fake profiles to manipulate or deceive
- Engage in romance scam activity, phishing, or identity theft
- Promote third-party commercial services, affiliate links, or escort/sex-work services
- Use RealMeet to recruit people into multi-level marketing schemes
5. Protect minors
RealMeet is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. You must not:
- Create an account if you are under 18
- Engage in any romantic, sexual, or explicitly intimate interaction with anyone you know or suspect may be under 18
- Produce, share, or seek child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — this will be reported to the authorities immediately
6. No illegal activity
RealMeet must not be used to facilitate, plan, or promote illegal activity of any kind, including drug sales, trafficking, weapons dealing, or other criminal conduct.
7. Use reporting tools
If you see behaviour that violates these guidelines:
- Tap the three-dot menu (···) on any profile or conversation to report it
- Block users who make you uncomfortable — blocking is instant and silent
- Email safety@real-meet.de for urgent safety concerns or illegal content
8. Consequences for violations
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- A formal warning
- Temporary suspension of your account
- Permanent removal from RealMeet
- Reporting to law enforcement where required by law or where a serious crime is suspected
9. Your right to appeal
If your account has been actioned and you believe this was a mistake, you have the right to appeal. Send your appeal to appeals@real-meet.de. Appeals are reviewed by a human moderator. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
10. Evolving guidelines
These guidelines may be updated as RealMeet grows. We will notify members of material changes via in-app notification. Continued use of RealMeet after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
